  • ASSEMBLY PLANNING & MANAGEMENT: WAYNE HERRIMAN

This ministry is responsible for selecting table servers, prayer leaders and assisting with baptisms.  The ministry leader needs to work closely with the evangelist and song leader in planning and scheduling what happens during our assemblies so that the assemblies will be uplifting, meaningful and timely for all who attend.  The goals of this ministry are:

INCORPORATE NEW MEMBERS IN WORSHIP SERVICES
SUNDAY COMMUNION SERVICES- (coordination of ordering communion supplies)
SUNDAY SCRIPTURE READING, MORNING AND EVENING

  • COMMUNICATIONS & PRESENTATIONS: CARL HARRIS, WAYNE HERRIMAN, DON WITTEN, TERRY COX AND STEVE COATNEY

The Communications ministry is to coordinate the production of our taped assemblies, classes and special events.  This is an important ministry, which is charged with oversight and development of our tape and public address systems.  The goals of this ministry should be:

EVALUATION, REPAIR AND INSTALLATION OF SOUND EQUIPMENT
RECORDING AND REPRODUCTION OF OUR ASSEMBLIES AND SPECIAL EVENTS

This ministry has the responsibility of evaluation and making recommendation concerning the signs used in and outside of the building.  Some of the goals that should be addressed by this ministry are:

This ministry works closely with the assembly planning and management ministry and is responsible for spearheading the evangelistic thrust of the congregation.  Some of the goals of this ministry are:

The Benevolence ministry is involved in coordination of our outreach to those who are in need.  This ministry often times shapes how the community looks at the church and accepts our profession as Christians.  The program is in charge of the operation and maintenance of the Food Room in securing food and supplies to meet the needs of those of our community.  Some of the goals that should be considered are:

ADULT EDUCATION: GARY PERKINS

This ministry is responsible for the coordination of our education program.  This ministry works very closely with the evangelist and children’s education ministry in developing a central thrust of education not only for the adult members of the congregation but to insure a smooth flow throughout the educational process.  Some of the goals include:

CHILDREN'S EDUCATION:  SHERYL WITTEN

The Children’s Educational ministry is responsible for coordinating the educational program for the lower grades.  This coordinator will work closely with the Adult Education director to insure that their programs are meeting the developmental schedule of their students.

The goal of this ministry is to direct the Children’s Bible Hour Assemblies by maintaining a list of and schedule Bible Hour Teachers.  The directory will assure that the teachers have adequate teaching supplies and materials.  The goals of this ministry are:

This ministry is involved in planning and executing our youth activities for the spiritual and social development of our young people.  This ministry must coordinate with parents and others of the congregation concerning their needs for involvement in devotionals, mission trips, service projects, singing and drama activities.  This ministry has a great deal to do with the shaping of our youth’s attitudes and destiny in areas and goals of the following:

The Nursery ministry is responsible for seeing that the nursery is staffed for all services and special activities.  It also regularly evaluates our childcare facilities, equipment and program.  Other areas and goals that should be considered:

This ministry is involved with preparing and holding adult ladies class on a regular scheduled basis.  Coordinating with the ladies to have monthly trips to Frances Streitel Retirement Home for birthday celebrations, also coordinating other various areas of missions or benevolence to be involved with.

The goal of this ministry is to maintain a good supply of teaching materials for easy access for our Bible Class teachers.

  • FELLOWSHIP:

The Fellowship ministry serves as a catalyst for personal growth involvement and sharing of our common good in Christ.  Its function is to plan the various dinners and fellowship gatherings.  It is responsible for the coordination of our “Fellowship Teams” for special meals.  This ministry coordinates:

Lamplighters are those Christians that have advanced in age and are old enough to have grandchildren.  This is a group that insures each of these people have opportunity to enjoy each seasonal holiday through Christian fellowship.

This ministry is involved with coordination of all of our missionary needs.  This would include communicating with our missionaries on a regular basis and informing us of their activities and their needs.

This ministry develops an awareness of the Collinsville church as a forward-looking congregation on the World Wide Web.  This is done through a presentation of web pages, articles, electronic papers and references to the community of the churches of Christ worldwide.  This ministry should:

  • FAMILY PICTURE BOARD:  SMITTY SMITH

The Picture Board ministry helps us get to know one another better through providing a photographic display of all our members.  It is important that this ministry coordinate with the Church Directory ministry to keep everyone aware of new members.  This ministry involves itself in these goals:

UPDATING OUR FAMILY PHOTOS AS NEW FAMILY MEMBERS ARRIVE
KEEPING A CURRENT PHOTO OF EACH FAMILY DISPLAYED WITH THEIR NAMES

  • CHURCH DIRECTORY:  CARL HARRIS

The Church Directory ministry insures that we have a current and accurate directory of all congregational members.  They will assess the needs of the congregation and secure the most appropriate directory available.  This ministry will coordinate its work with the Picture Board ministry in securing current photos for the directory.

  • BUILDING’S & SECURITY:  FRANK EDDINGS, PAUL COLLINS, & STEVE COATNEY

This ministry is dedicated to the maintenance and security of our buildings.  It is in the realm of this ministry to supervise the ongoing process of repairs and construction of needed modifications to the buildings on the church property.  Some of the goals that the ministry should concern itself with are:

This goal of this ministry is to assure that our grounds are properly maintained and presentable.  The director of this ministry should be aware of needed seasonal changes and decorations.

  • FELLOWSHIP BUILDING:  DON WITTEN

The goal of this ministry is to assure that the fellowship building is maintained in a clean and tidy manner and ready for use.  The director should maintain a list of volunteers to clean and care for the building.

This ministry provides maintenance for our van.  It is the responsibility of this ministry to see that the van is kept in good running order with current license and insurance verifications.

The prayer ministry is a ministry of people who have given themselves to prayer on behalf of others.  The ministry will recruit and develop people of spiritual quality in order to be immediately available for prayer on behalf of any who is in need.  The ministry will have a prayer chain established for quick response to any of our members needs.

This ministry is involved in preparing song selections for our worship service.  The ministry would also be responsible for any needs such as funerals or nursing home services.  The goals of this ministry are:
