WHAT TO EXPECT

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT WHEN YOU VISIT US?

  • Expect to receive a sincere and very warm welcome, an invitation to return anytime, and an offer to study God's word with us in order to know His plan of salvation for you.

  • Expect a congregation that is interested in YOU and YOUR FAMILY.

  • Expect to see people dressed in ordinary clothes, from suites to jeans, from silk to cotton.

  • Expect to find your neighbors, your child's teacher, your fellow worker, your grocery store manager, your doctor, or any number of different people that you could know in a variety of other capacities.

  • Expect to find everyday, real people who are seeking a close and personal relationship with Jesus Christ through His teachings in the New Testament.

  • Expect, if interested, to be offered private, one-on-one Bible study, to assist you in the knowledge of Christ's New Testament. (group studies also available)

  • Expect to hear us singing praises to the Lord . . . but don't expect to see or hear instrumental accompaniment, for our singing is entirely a' cappella ... Why?  Jesus said in the New Testament, "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs."

  • Expect to see us worship God in the manner in which Christ commanded -- without deviation, because without a road map, are you sure to arrive at your destination when you do not know the address or location?  Doubtful!  Although, so many people blindly say they will....But Christ said, "Many will say to me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?"  But alas, it will not help them.

  • Expect to see us remember Christ in communion each and every Lord's Day as He commanded.  For Christ broke the bread and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."  In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the New Covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.  For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.  So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for each other."  We find that this commandment was followed throughout the New Testament congregations established by the apostles.

  • Expect to to hear the word of God through Christ's New Testament being taught and preached.  Jesus also said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.  If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
